Heyo! I'm Karthik

Heyo! My name is Karthik Sankar and I am a student, currently residing in Singapore. I am into a variety of programming & markup languages, including C#, C++, HTML, CSS, JS, Java, PHP, Python (quite a few modules) and MySQL (not a language). I was also attending formal coding courses for the past 4 years. However, after graduation at the aforementioned course, I have successfully participated and won national, interschool and asia-pacific competitions. Currently, I am looking for long-term projects to work on.

Web Development

I love website development. It helps me learn a lot about many different languages. Websites are a crucial part of the internet. Hence, I love it. Stack Overflow taught me how to code websites.

Game Development

I am extremely familiar with Game Development and I am fairly good with it. I have used PyGame (Python), Unity (C#), JavaScript (with HTML), Scratch, Java and even C++! :D

Software Development

I believe that Software Development is one of the most important types of development. Without software development, you would not be able to have other types of development.

My Work

SaveTheRhinos. An initiative led by me (as the President), along with my friends. We created this website as a way to promote the rapid loss of species (in the current case, Rhinos). Link: Here

<EI>CodeCasting. It is a technological initiative made by one of my seniors. However, I helped him by making the website and supporting him in marketing, etc. I am considered as the Student Representative. Link: Here

GIIS Progressio a student-led coding initiative held in GIIS. Following the successful event conducted in 2022, there are plans to push it further in 2023. Link: Here

I am a two-time winner for the national infocomm competition known as 3D-Tronics. Winning 2nd and 1st fastest robot, two consecutive years, was truly a wonderful feat.

I have participated in GIIS Hackathon for 4 years, out of which I have won 1st, 2nd, 1st and 1st in the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022. I hope to conduct it in the year 2024.

I was an intern with Stemly AI from December 2022 till January 2023. It was a wonderful experience where I worked with some of the best minds in the field of AI. I also developed the website for Stemly. Link: Here
